March 22
County Coordinators provide the Florida History Fair office with the following items by this date.
- Online registration of first- and second-place county winners who will compete in the state competition
- FOUR copies of each entry in the historical paper category
- Web Site Entry Form with URLs for web sites completed on nhd.weebly.com
- County History Fair Statistics Form
- List of students with special needs attending the state contest

March 29
County Coordinators provide the Florida History Fair office with the following items by this date.
- Copies of the Student Information Form with student, teacher, and parent signatures
- Name of recipient(s) of the Outstanding County Award
May 5–May 7
Florida History Fair state competition
The state contest is held on the campus of Tallahassee Community College. The Awards Ceremony is held at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum.
- May 5: Registration and exhibit set up
- May 6: Registration and competition judging (daytime);
- May 7: Awards Ceremony
Open House at the Museum of Florida History (evening)
June 9–13
National History Day competition
The national contest is held at the University of Maryland, College Park.
